About Karen

Karen has always been a dreamer, with a wild imagination and a love for storytelling. From a young age, she dreamed of becoming an author and her journey has taken her on many travels, both near and far, as she explored new places, cultures, and experiences.

Karen is a true jack-of-all-trades, having been a scientist, company director, software developer, painter, wife, mother, and even a showjumper! But through it all, her love of animals and nature has always been a constant.

Becoming a mother inspired her to bring the children's story that has been in her head for years to life. Her love for her daughters and her passion for storytelling combine to make her books ones that children will treasure for years to come.

When she's not writing, you can find Karen in the west of Ireland, where she spends her time on her farm with her husband and daughter. Most days she can be found knee-deep in mud, surrounded by her many, many animals. Whether she's riding her horses, caring for her dogs, or simply soaking up the beauty of nature, Karen is never far from her next great story idea.
